FL Studio Guru - Compressors are often used to create 'Sidechain' effects, where a source tracks level controls the volume of another independent track. Typically sidechaining is used to allow the kick to cut through the mix by 'ducking' the volume of other tracks when the kick hits or to create related rhythmic effects in other tracks. Gross Beat allows you to do all this, and more, without the need to set up any complex sidechains.

 

 

Just drop Gross Beat on the target channel/s and edit a volume slot to directly control the volume dynamics. Gross Beat makes 'sidechaining' lot easier and allows you to achieve more precise volume envelope characteristics, so you get just the right 'bounce'.
