WHAT'S NEW in FL STUDIO 12.9.1

• Audio Unit (AU) plugins - AU plugins are now supported on macOS. AU plugins will scan, along with VST plugins, using the Plugin Manager.
• Graph Editor - The classic feature is back! Edit note velocity, pitch, pan etc, right from the Channel Rack.
• General settings - 'Hide plugin toolbars by default' is now on by default.
• Fruity Reeverb 2 - The same phase is now used for left and right signals for improved sound. Modulation depth and speed maximum has been increased.
• Reset mixer tracks - Right-click option for selected Mixer tracks 'Reset selected track(s) to default'.
• Piano roll - The root note is more visible with keyboard 'scale highlighting' set.
• Hide grouped tracks - New option 'Playlist Menu > View > Hide collapsed grouped tracks'. When used a small arrow on the right-side of the Track header can be used to show or hide the group.
• Playlist preview - 'Playlist Menu > View > Mini playlist preview' is selected by default.
• Playlist Right-click header-menu - Right-click options to 'Mute all clips' and 'Unmute all clips', to make undo of consolidated tracks faster.
• Fruity Convolver - Added a PDC control, just above the Editor window, to set an impulse's latency so PDC is correctly applied. Related, there are two new Linear Phase EQ presets, 'Linear phase EQ (Long compensated) and (Short compensated)' that make use of this feature.
• VFX Level Scaler - Scale Note Properties as received from the Piano roll. The graph shows input-output mapping for Note - Velocity, Release, Pitch (fine), Pan, Mod X and Mod Y values.
• Audio recording - Multiple takes are grouped when recording.
• Browser - The Drag-and-drop location of samples previews when dragging from the Browser to the Playlist.
• In-App Purchases - When saving using projects with demo plugins or FL Studio upgrade features, its now possible to buy plugins & upgrades from within FL Studio.
• Installation - Option to unlock with a downloaded regcode file in the 'Help > About' window.
• Render dialog - New options to 'Save loop' and 'Playlist markers'. Renamed 'Save Acidized' to 'Save tempo information'. Renamed 'Save slice markers' to 'Save note markers'.
• Updated plugins (bug fixes) - BassDrum, Drumaxx, Drumpad, Effector, GMS, Hardcore, MiniSynth, Morphine, PoiZone, Sakura, Sawer and Toxic Biohazard.
• User data changes - Projects and Backup folders are now saved to a 'FL Studio' subfolder in the system shared data folders. Win: '..\Documents\Image-Line\Data\FL Studio' folder. macOS:. An 'Old projects' points to the legacy location. We recommend moving your projects to the new location.
• ZGameEditor Visualizer - Increased responsiveness to 'Linear' peak effect. Color button on HTML tab to paste color into test. HTML text position and size can now be specified in decimals. Copy/paste layer to and from clipboard.

WHAT'S NEW in FL STUDIO 12.9 BETA 1

• Automatic PDC - Automatic PDC should now work for all normal use-cases (please report issues). We still need to fix these cases: Multi-out plugins, Multiple generators feeding a single Mixer track, each with different latencies and the wet/dry mix knob on FX slots. These should be resolved in coming betas.
  • Automatic PDC now works with Generators.
  • APDC applies to inter-track routing and side-chains.
  • Manual and Auto-PDC can now co-exist. Manual PDC is applied as an offset to Auto PDC.
  • Manual PDC - Negative values - delay the selected track, positive values - delay all other tracks.
  • There's a new audio input delay control on the INPUT menu to fix latency issues with individual audio inputs.
  • PDC icons now light orange when a track reports latency, not when it's delayed (as before). This will help you to quickly identify PDC inducing plugins.
• DirectWave - A Zone's loop type will now apply to all selected Zones.
• Fruity Reeverb - Is now a 64 Bit FL plugin.
• GUI - The 'Song/Pat' switch is a placeholder. The main purpose at the moment is to show you are using the FL Studio Beta. We are converting all tool panels to 1-unit high. This will allow for a more streamlined tool-bar and more flexible arrangements. More later ...
• Help - FL now uses the online version of the help file. You can download an offline version here (although FL 12.9 won't open this by default).
• Mixer - Increased to 125 Mixer tracks. More will be added later.
• Patcher - Reduced memory usage.
• Playlist - Improved visibility of Clip borders in Solid view mode.
• Time Signature Support - Playlist, Piano roll, Project Settings and Time Markers. Right-click Time-markers and select 'Time signature'. Shift+Alt+T to set time-signatures over a selected time-range. Use the on Pattern Clip Menu 'Use current time signature' to set a time-signature based on Playlist position.
• Plugin manager - Locating plugins is faster, in some cases
• Sampler Channels - Legacy precomputed effects are back. New: Playback - 'Start offset' (automatable), will get a position visualization in the next update. Precomputed - 'Sample start', and 'Length' effects.
• Tap tempo - Sync option for tempo tap is now off by default.
• Unicode Text - Most FL plugins now support unicode characters when exchanging filenames and other text with FL Studio.
• ZGE Visualizer - Layers can be collapsed. Buffered layers are more obvious now. New 'SplinePeaks' effect.

• Browser - Samples can be sent from the Browser to the Playlist with (Ctrl+Middle-click) and (Ctrl+Enter). Browser recognizes plugin presets for more Image-Line plugins.
• Channel Sampling Robot - Now defaults to Shared data folder when exporting a DirectWave program file.
• DirectWave - Added refresh button to Browser. Now defaults to Shared data folder when saving a Program or Bank.
• Export - Settings for Project export to Audio file (File menu) and for Pattern render (Picker Panel / Clip Menus) are now saved separately to avoid confusion.
• Formula Controller - New functions: Atan2, Inter and InterNoSwap.
• FPC - Rename/Color/Icon/Settings popup-menu when you (Alt+Right-click) a Pad.
• Fruity Dance - Sprite sheet now has a higher resolution for your 4K viewing pleasure.
• Patcher - Dramatically reduced CPU usage! Seriously. We did some things back there...

• 64 Bit/Native Plugins - A number of older 32 Bit VST format plugins have been converted to FL native format 64 bit, including: 7 Band EQ, Bass Boost, Center, Chorus, Compressor, Delay, Fast LP, Filter, Flanger, Free Filter, Mute 2, Phaser, Phase Inverter. Resulting in significant CPU savings when used in FL Studio 64 Bit.
• ZGameEditor Visualizer - Option to type in custom FPS for video export. (Right-click) the Frames per second menu.

• Picker Panel (Alt+P) - A manager/browser that lists all Pattern, Audio and Automation Clips in the project. Useful features include: 'Select unused Clips', 'Select Clips in Playlist', 'Rename/Color multiple clips', 'Render Pattern Clips to Audio Clips' (Right-Click Clips > 'Render as audio clip').
• Virtual MIDI Controllers - Resizable, customizable vectorial Keyboard and Drumpads. Play the selected Channel, just like an external MIDI controller.
